Which OS to choose?
If you upgrade your workstations (add memory, change hard disks, video cards, etc.) in any regular fashion, you may want to run 2000 Pro since you wouldn't have to re-activate it after 2 or three changes. Windows Xp version for Dell's only?
Most of the big manufacturers (Compaq, Dell, etc.) have a "version" that will only install on their machines. The only real difference is in the setup program which checks hardware & bios plus they usually package a customized install routine. bigicebear- bigicebear
