Vi /etc/passwd on new box, go to bottom of file, do :r /etc/theoldpasswdfile to read in the copied over /etc/passwd from the old box, and delete the system accounts duplications. Do the same for /etc/shadow. Copy /home directories and...
If ports 137 thru 139 aren't allowed, the samba shares won't connect. Redhat 7.2 has ipchains enabled, which needed to be set to Medium security with smb allowed. Do ipchains-save, which will list your firewall rules on the screen. You can add the rules to allow these ports.
