Thanks xmsre, that was spot on. I have already got it sorted, thanks to the ExBPA tool and yourself. Thank you everyone for all the help.
Cheers to all,
Betanet
Thanks for all the help, I have just downloaded ExBPA (Exchange best practice analyser tool) tool from Microsoft, I have been assured that this should do the trick. I will keep this post updated for future reference.

This problem happens once every 10-14 days, so it wouldn't be practical to use Task Manager at the moment. We use Kaspersky AntiVirus and don’t have any mailware. I do regular scans. This problem is happening with all of the servers (4), they are only 5 months old and they all have the same...
I have change the page file on all the servers, this didn't help. One of our servers is running Exchange (knutern) I may use the 3Gb switch on that server. All the servers had to be rebooted this morning and Exchange wouldn't work, this was the first thing I had to face with a Tuesday morning...
We have four new servers, all Dell PowerEdge 6850,s, two Xeon processors, 1000Gb of space and 4Gb of DDR2 RAM. The problem I am having is that on a regular basis the servers will give the error message that the system does not have enough system resources to complete the operation. This may be...
Thanks lads (please correct me if there are any ladies present), the nic drivers is the likely culprit, I am putting in a gigabit backbone between the servers and changing the network cards. To answer your question NetworkDoc, no we don’t use terminal services to access the exchange server (I’ll...
I've been on to Microsoft support, so the dump logs and all diagnostics have been done. The nic driver is looking like the last stand against defeat. If that doesn't work I am going to have to backup and then reinstall exchange.
Thank you to one and all for your support and input.
Cheers,
Betanet
Ok, the server model is a Dell Poweredge 2600, duel xeon processor 2GB of DDR RAM with plenty of hard drive space. The other two servers are windows 2000, one is a DC the other a member server, the exchange server is windows 2003 enterprise edition and is also a member server. The mailbox store...
I've edited the ini file to 3GB, this fix has not helped!!!!
I am now at the end of my reason and the customer in question is starting to look at me like I don't know what I'm doing,,,, help.
Whooo lads, it's a bright sunny Monday in Ireland and I'm slightly hungover, I didn't expect so many replies, many thanks to all.
I never checked the 3GB switch in the ini file, will do that today. We do have the latest BIOS/drivers for the system. I'll keep you posted.
PScottC: I love the quote:)
Hi Lads,
I did the stress test on the RAM and it came up with no errors, now I'm a little lost as to what to do next. Everything seems to point to hardware problems, but just in case I've done a Windows update. All that was left to update was a few security patches, they are all installed now...
Hi Lads,
Zelandakh is correct about the event log, I am also going to go with his advice and run a memory test. I'll do it this evening and let it run overnight. I'll keep you all posted as to the results. Once again thanks for all your help.
Cheers,
Betanet.
Hi Lads,
First off, I didn’t do the original install so I can’t confirm if netdiag was performed (I’ll assume it was). It shouldn’t be the RAM (2GB of DDR2). The event logs tell me that the last shutdown was unexpected (hello!!). I haven’t installed sp1 on the 2003 server yet; I’m hoping this...
Hi Guys,
Here is my problem; I have a Windows 2000 domain sp4 and a member server (2003) that is running exchange 2003. The problem is (and its getting worse) the exchange server keeps going belly up, it freezes up and the only way to get it going again is to switch it off and restart it again...
Hi All,
I’m a new user with ArcServe and I can’t seem to get ArcServe to print the job log when the backup finishes. I’ve ticked the checkbox to print job log and did all the usual saves, and overwriting the original saved file, but when I go back to the options the job log checkbox is...
Hi All,
I am working in a test environment and am trying to import a group of users into AD on a server 2003 domain controller, I used a csv file created on a windows 2000 server and it won’t work, I keep getting the error about password complexity. So I created some user accounts on the 2003...
