I think you might want to check to see if the monitor has EXTENDED memory slots. Flat panel monitors are very similar to laptop LCD displays. They need RAM to operate. There might be a small door with a screw on the back of the monitor. If so, open it and see if there are any 144pin RAM chips in...

I have a Nec Versa 6230 laptop, someone removed all the memory modules. It has no memory and it turns on with green light, but no video for bios screen. Is that common? Does it need memory to boot to bios screen?
That's funny because I just took it out and replaced it and it was actually pretty easy. The front bezel snaps off. Remove inside screws unplg and it was out.
