Using report studio version 8.4. I have a combination (aka mixed) chart. It has a bar for each month going verically and a horizontal target line graph across them. Cognos makes them very close together. Is there any way to increase the space between them to make it more visually appealing?
I have a multipage report set up using report studio.
Section 1
Section 2
Section 3
Section 4
Section 5
I need to add about ten more but they all are the same report as number 5 but with a change in the filter. I figured the easiest way was to copy Section 5 and paste it ten times just going...
I ended up getting it. I had swapped it to look at the green case and everything else was red. I switched it to look at the red and everything else was green and it worked just fine! Thanks for your help!
Yes, it provided the same effect, as if I never added the other requirement. When I added the value to the cross tab it returns the number of fails for the 3 month period. Is there a way to say for the previous month? I don't see why what I have wouldn't work. It seems logically correct at least.
So I've been playing with it for awhile. Thanks for all of your help.

So, I'm only a month or so into using cognos (Report Studio). So I'm not sure exactly what you're saying to do. I tried creating a data item like this and it shot a bunch of errors back. Now that I think of it, would I want to create that under Render variable?
Another thing I didnt completely...

It's a table like this, now i have a filter parameter that asks what group you want. I'm trying to make it so I can run this report and print each...
I have a report that prints groups, services their performance and goals. The report takes in a parameter group and filters it such that only services that fall in that group show. How can I run the report and have it produce a report for each group that does not meet goal?
I have a cross tab report:
comparison| Target | May09|June09|July09|...|May10
service | < or > | value | | | |...|
What this does is print the actual stat of each service (the cross tab corner is actual) Here is an example of 2 types of rows...
cast_float (datediff ({ss},[POC_Layer].[Incidents].[OPEN_TIME],[POC_Layer].[Incidents].[CLOSE_TIME]))/3600
This ended up working. Thanks for the help though!
I'm trying to get the difference in hours(float) between two dates. Say 5.2, when the two dates are 5 hours and 12 minutes apart.
Attempt one: date1 - date 2 (format time interval -> hours)
Attempt two: datediff ({hh}, date1, date2)
Both tries seem to just show the hours as an integer...
