    If a connection fails tomcat crashes?

    Hi, I'm building a web app with tomcat and wanted to use tomcat datasource. My system administrator says it can not be done because if the connection goes wrong then all the other connections of other applications are in error. It 's true? In my opinion no. Where can I find information?
