OK i have a request from a client who now I converted over from an outside POP3 server to an in house exchange server. The issue: He has multiple email accounts under the old POP3 server. When an email came in displayed which email the outside sender was sending too.
Now it just shows his AD...
he is set in his ways, so now he wants to go back to the old system.
I am going to set his account up as a pop3 and see if that works with all the email address and username and passwords. Keep on server forever so he can access his emails via web outlook.
I will have to tweak it out so it...
I have exchange 2003 and outlook 2003. The user connects to exchange via outlook 2003. He wants to see which email address the email is coming into from.
He has about 10 email address in his AD profile. But in outlook it only says his name in the to field.
How can I get it to show the email...
why do you want to use exchange? do you want to use the outlook web? If you are going to send emails out though exchnage you will also have to set your Reverse DNS on your IP to point to your domain. AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc will not except emails from your domain otherwise.
If they are hosting...
yeah that's what I figured.. Ok I am going to have to setup another AD user and move the emails to that account.
They will have to live with this until Exchange 2034 comes out lol
Thanks,
John
Now I have a question..
I am using exchange 2003 with outlook 2000. The single AD user has multiple email addresses. How can he select which ones he can send out from?
I have looked everywhere and didn't find the answer. I hope there is, b/c he is ready to go back to the ouside email hosting...
