We have the above printer which has feint print right across the page, we have had an engineer out who has cleaned the scanner but it hasnt fixed the fault. If we stop the page when it is in front of the toner the image on the drum is perfect but not transferring across to the page...

Thanks for the tip but this printer is printing through the parallel port when it goes wrong, the HP Service manual says to replace scanner or controller.....this seems to be a very common problem on the 2100 but we have never replaced either yet to try and rectify the fault. We have 6 printers...
