I am writing a report and would like to do compare a File date field to the current date in order to tell if the current date is less than the File date field. Is there a formula I can write to accomplish this?

I have added a running total to a report I created and the run time has significantly lengthened. Since this is the first time I a using a running total in a report are there any suggestions on how to use running totals without or minimizing the impact to the report run times?
