Just a note -- I've received exactly the same error message in MS Word when another user opened a doc of mine and tried to run a macro it contained. I'm still trying to figure out how to get past that VBA message so she can run the macro.

Thanks. My attempted solutions all depended on using an existing Word field, converting to text and then editing the text. Yours is much cleaner and more elegant, and works beautifully.

Sorry to bother you with a simple question, but -- How can I insert a Docs Open file number (not the entire ODMA path, just the assigned file number, without version number) into a Word Doc? Word's autotext will insert the entire ODMA file path with number, but that's not acceptable to my admin...
We're using Docs Open 4.0.0 and Word XP. One of my users edited version #30 and wanted to do a Save-As to create version #31, but the "new version" option was grayed out. Does anyone know if there's a limit to the number of versions that can be created under one document profile? Thanks!
