Fantastic, that is the exact info I was looking for. Would the callpilot 100/150 be a card that could go in this box or would it be a separate box? Sorry, looked it up, looks like its a separate box.
Thanks!
I have an abandoned norstar unit that I might want to put into service at another office.
I have some basic knowledge of doing adds/changes etc on our cs1000, but no exp with norstars. I would hire a nortel tech to install it etc.
My questions are: What exactly do I have here? How many...
We have a satellite office that is on an older system. The PBX is a KX-TD1232. Most of the phone sets are KX-T7425's.
There are 16 phones and the system uses 4 or 5 POTS lines that each ring to each phone.
The users of this system demoed a few new unified communication systems and hated...
I created a DN to use specifically as a junk VM for people to forward to for solicited calls etc.
I made the DN 5555.
When I try to create a VM box for it, I get the following error:
"The number specified for 'Mailbox Number' conflicts with the broadcast number.
Error code: 60621, severity...
Thank you very much for the reply.. but I believe that is past my knowledge of making changes to our nortel system :(
If someone is willing to help a novice with this, that would be greatly appreciated, but if not then I understand.
Thanks again.
In our system we hit 8 to overhead page. Every time someone forgets to dial 9 and then uses an 8 number, they fax overhead. Its driving a supervisor nuts.
Is there a way to track which fax is doing this and/or disable TN's or DN's from accessing the paging system? It could probably just be...
When I try to call a 1-844 number I get a fast busy right away. I assume I need to add this.
Per lots of instructions found from web searches I need to look up and copy what I have set up for 1800 numbers in LD 90.
Here is what I get:
LD 90
REQ prt
CUST 0
FEAT net
TRAN ac1

Good news and bad news. Bad news is this did not work, it breaks things bad sometimes when dialing another area code. (depending on the carrier)
Good news is here is what I have found out.. when using a proper CLID table, we pass 10 digits when we SEND 10 digits. ie if I call a local number...
I tried it and it worked.
Once again to clarify, CLID 0 only sends out 7 digits. Newly created CLID 1 sends out 10 properly. Just for kicks I changed CLID 0 to having blank HNTN and 10 digits in HLCL, works fine. Bizarre.

I haven't tired this yet but was considering it just to see what happens...
Would this break anything or be bad in anyway?

Thanks for the feedback thus far...
We do not want to send out the DID numbers. We want just the main billing number to go out on all outgoing calls (I have CLS CLBA on a few sets to keep them blocked)
I do not believe we have another table. When I print CLID in LD 21 for RNGE I leave blank. If I put any sort of number in I...
Im running into a strange problem. On our outgoing caller ID, sometimes our PBX is sending a 10 digit number (like it should) but most of the time its only sending a 7 digit number (whats in HLCL) We only have 1 CLID which is as follows (numbers changed for anonymity):
REQ: prt
TYPE: CLID
CUST...
