It is completely true.
In fact, I have just been recommended to downgrade to 7.4 SP5 or wait for 7.5 SP2 which is going to be release in the next days.
Obviously, since it is a production environment, best workaround is performing such downgrade.
Many thanks for you collaboration!
Server: RHEL 5.3, Networker 7.5 SP1
Clients: Solaris 9 & 10, Networker 7.5 SP1
Once started the scheduled group, the backup client begins:
1) Precmd is run, its output is ok (exit status is 0)
2) Networker starts copying
3) Precmd is run again, pstcmd is run also, while copy has not finished...
I have just modified the starttime in each groups. Also I have increased the server parallelism.
We have 3 LTO-2 and 3 LTO-3 tape drives, so it's pretty difficult adjust that parameter. I am trying using only 3 drive LTO-3. I must wait the weekend, when the full backups take place.
I will...
Hi,
I was setting the repository to make a massive upgrade in all my clients after having installed 7.5 SP1 from 7.4 SP5.
My server is Linux RHEL 5.3 x86_64 and I didn't find any problem with linux, solaris and win x86 clients, but win_x64 did.
Since it is a cross platform (Linux versus...
Thanks again,
I have took a look to:
EMC NetWorker Release 7.4 and Service Packs Release Notes
And I think I have found the issue:
---
LGTsc21240
21240nw_c
Under a heavy load, index backups hang at the end of a savegroup on Linux, resulting in savegroup failure.
---
But in our version...
Really, I am thinking about it. I have found a lot of bugs in this release and My Support from EMC it seems more motivated to clase the Service Request than solving it.
Many thanks!
It's a pretty long log file, so here you are.
It seems it finishes correctly, but in the night it often fails:
32451:savegrp: datos1:/descargas level=incr
32451:savegrp: datos1:/ora10h level=incr
32451:savegrp: datos1:/ora92h...
Hi all,
one month ago we performed an upgrade from Networker 7.3 SP3 to 7.4 SP5.
Scheduled backups don't complete, although the majority of the saveset does, but the index backups are hung indefinitely. This affects the rest of the subsequent executions on the same group, for example full...
We have moved the SQL 2005 instances from one node to the another one:
Node1: SQL 2000 instances
Node2: SQL 2005 instances
If I run the backup module in Node2:
"An internal error ocurred"
While if I do it in Node1, no errors.
Does the module require some tips in the default installation...
Hi,
I am trying to solve a problem related to the backup process in a cluster environment in MSCS with SQL service.
I have got two nodes: sesql001 and sesql002 and sesql000 as the virtual name service.
Lately, we have also installed SQL 2005 so we take into account two types: SQL 2000 and SQL...
Finally I succeed in booting the machine.
I avoided selecting /boot, /dev, /proc and /sys filesystems. It seems difficult to Linux —and it's got a lot of sense, substituing these files on-line.
Thanks anyway
I am planning a disaster recovery procedure to start up a linux box client from scratch.
I've installed the OS again, Networker client and set up the filesystems by means of LVM.
Before erasing this host I had done a backup "All". Today I have tried to recover the information but the server...
Hello everydoby,
I'm planning the design of a script with savepnpc facility:
PRECMD: stop DB
PSTCMD: startDB; Condition
Condition: if backup is done ok; then erase archiving files.
Is there any way to know the result of the backup before the group finishes?? Until now, I had used the...
Hi,
I'd like to guess if there's some solution to connect a LVD SCSI card to STK L700 Library with HVD connector.
I've checked it and there's two ports: HVD and SE. Would it be possible to connect the LVD interface to the SE one?
Many thanks in advance,
Iago
I'll try to explain to you our arquitecture:
Group: WindowsExchange
Pool: ismLTO2
Devices though StorageNode: /dev/rmt/1cbn, 2cbn and 3cbn
StartTime: 20:30
Group copies successfully all the clients but one: sexch001.
