Hello
I'm going install a backup modem on my Aloha server. Is there a specific brand that Aloha calls for, or can I just use a known-good one?
thanks in advance.
it was actually the reverse- two terminals working, the rest not. We are running Win 2K3 server on two terminals (master, backup master) to bypass the XP restriction of 10 connections.
I heard back from OpenTable. Apparently the interface name was cleared out of the Aloha server and they...
Hello
we're using Aloha and OpenTable and have installed the interface between the two (on each of the terminals). It has been several weeks since the install, and it is not working. At the start, 9 of 11 terminals were not working, but 2 of them were updating the OpenTable server. Those two...
OK so basically the remote Aloha Manager (at corp.) makes changes to a non-live database, then you copy the changed files to the store Alohaboh server, and refresh the database to reflect recent changes. Is that correct?
I'm wondering if there's a way to have that corp. Aloha Manager make...
thanks dtsman
my aloha networks are separated by subnets. Each Alohaboh server has dual NIC's- one for the Aloha/Terminal network, one for the corp network. This separates that really "chatty" netBIOS traffic from corp. network traffic.
I'm interested in the remote Aloha Manager. I've...
Hello
I have two restaurant sites right now, soon to be 6. For ease of administration and as part of our plan to satisfy the PCI compliancy, we would like to join the terminals to the domain (child domain of corp domain). I'm wondering if anyone has done this yet. I have been given the green...

Hello,
I have a Win 2000 SBS machine on a Dell PowerEdge. I looked at the Health Monitor and noticed some warnings under the Memory section. The alert is:
Memory: Warning condition. WMI Status: 0
I restarted the WMI service, I cleaned up the C: drive, about 3 gigs or so. Then I increased the...
hello-
couple questions, here's my scenario: I have a user that is at two different locations, and I sync his data to my server at my office. The problem I run into is when he makes changes to his Favorites and decides some of them are wrong and wants the changes undone- I can only go back to...
hi triplejolt-
thanks- and yes, i cleared the cryptos.
here's my debugs from the remote site (IP x.229.60.249) Not exactly sure what it all means though!
westmart(config)# ping 192.168.102.1
192.168.102.1 NO response received -- 1000ms
192.168.102.1 NO response received --...
ok- i think i found what the culprit was- the access list 103 still had my old ip for smtp.
i can vpn in now and ssh.
the other config was on a newer PIX, new OS version. I'll swap it out later, after the rest of the move.
thanks-
...change to:
ip address outside x.x.144.226 255.255.255.248
route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 x.x.144.225 1
does that look right?
and the .226 is now my Exchange/VPN public IP?
******
ok- just got an email from MCI tech:
"Try using Router x.x.144.226 and the 225 as DW."
what is DW?!
thanks in...
hello, just looking for clarity.
does this device handle T1? My router may not arrive in time to set up my new office tomorrow, but I have a RV082 that I've never even opened. Can I just do CAT5 from the SBC T1 jack to the Internet port on this device?
thanks
hello,
moving to a new site Friday. I'm getting a router from MCI for my new T1. Not sure how they will configure it, but it gets sent to me tomorrow.
I have a PIX to PIX VPN, and Exchange, and some remote clients using Cisco Dialer.
So do I use one of the 8 IP's as the "outside" IP, and...
