Put Citrix with the db in the colo and it will be fine. Printing in TS isn't as robust. Citrix optimizes bandwidth as well. You can also set a Citrix Farm for picking the least busy server when users connect.

Citrix isn't cheap, but printing works great.

P.S. We run a 15 user warehouse over citrix with Access, Crystal, Macola, etc...all over one point to point T1. No major issues, permissions set by groups, etc. The only thing to stress is massive memory in Citrix Server and printer drivers for servers.
