It sounds like there is a minor server configuration issue. I'd recommend trying the HTML viewer option as this will often reveal a warning or error that is obscured by the ActiveX viewer.

Unlike the Report Designer, the Crystal Query Designer will accept any valid SQL. You can create your query in the Query Designer and then base your report on the query.<br>

According to the docs, the Crystal Automation server requires all stored procedure parameters to be set as strings.<br>

One option for distributing reports is to use the Crystal Reports web features. That way any workstation with a web browser can access the reports without the need for any special setup.<br>

You might consider putting the reports on a web server instead and allow the workstations to access them with a web browser. That way you only have to deal with configuring the server instead of each workstation.<br>
