    Sounds palette grayed out

    I have several .wav files stored in the Sounds folder, but the Sounds palette is completely empty and the controls are grayed out. I have tried to drag and drop a file directly into my timeline, but that isn't working either. Does anyone have suggestions for what I'm doing wrong?
