    Microsoft UAG configuration

So just stick a switch in front of your Cisco to the internet, give the UAG a public IP address out of your public network range, and have stuff IP'd for the UAG setup in your external DNS to go to that new IP address. Did this myself, but had a Sonicwall that I use. Currently use the UAG to...

    NAS' & SANs

Depends on the SAN capabilities you are looking for (deduplication, asynch replication, etc..). I am a big fan of HP equipment myself and use their SAN equipment, but you might be able to do what you need done just using Microsoft's 2012 server as it can act as a SAN target and their new SMB 3.0...

Exchange 2010 SP3 causing me some headache with some OWA users?

Well, thought it might be an IE8 issue, but no such luck. Was able to log in with that same user account on another computer running IE8 just fine. Also, made sure updates were current... also, was reported to me that all of a sudden, my copiers no longer are scanning to email. This is just weird.

Exchange 2010 SP3 causing me some headache with some OWA users?

Updated to SP3 this weekend from SP2 UR5 and everything went well...or so I thought. Got in this morning and had about 20-30 users report that they could not log into OWA anymore using their username and password. This is only a small percentage of my total users, so I was troubleshooting, I...

Is Lync 2013 ready for prime time?

I am not so far gone on my 2010 deployment that I can easily move to 2013. So my question is, is Lync 2013 ready for "prime-time"? I know there for a while, the mobility part was not and did not know if they have added that in yet.

    Sonicwall Exchange Mobile Devices

So from the outside, can you access OWA from a computer through https? Are you using a private or public certificate authority? FYI, IMAP is not needed unless you want users to access mail that way.

New to Sonicwall and need some help.

Create a new Address Object under the Network section for the specific IP addresses. If they are in the same range, then you can define the range. If they are all different, then create different Address Objects for each IP address (name the object something you will understand if someone else...

    Radius server question

Just like irbk mentioned, it's going to be up to your WAP or wireless controller (if you are controlling many WAPs). You usually can setup multiple VSCs (virtual service communities) so that one VSC can be WPA2 secure (maybe this is your "secure" VSC that broadcasts), then you might have...

Hyper V or not Hyper V

While you can go the VMWare route, you can also do the Microsoft route as well using their P2V (Physical to Virtual) tools as well. Some backup softwares no have this ability as well also. It's normally best practice to install new opposed to trying to do in-place upgrades. That being said, you...

Deploying iSCSI SAN for VMWare - topology considerations

Again, with the stack, there's no need for any layer 2 redundancy protocols like STP, meshing, etc... and as stated previously, since there are multiple connections made by each SAN node, each Server, and multiple switches, there is something that will be connected always for redundancy purposes...

Can't reach devices on same vlan

Watchguard/computer??? Are you saying this computer is acting as a router/firewall? Is the site B switch not connected to a site A switch?

Deploying iSCSI SAN for VMWare - topology considerations

I did something similar just a week ago to create redundancy on my network. I too use HP switching gear and had some 2910al switches I was using a my tops of the rack switch for servers and SAN connections. What I did was replace the 2910al switches with HP's new 3800 series switches. This...

Avaya PBX T1 Trunk to UM at Capacity?

Your best bet would be to pose this question to the Avaya group on this forum http://www.tek-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=690 as your question deals more from the PBX side than the Exchange side. You can also check on http://www.iaug.org/avayausers for Avaya side questions and answers as well...

MAC addresses are exceeding the number licensed for? That's a new one on me.

    Random and bizarre connectivity issues

Depends, he never stated how his connections are defined in regards to L2 or L3. If the circuit is MetroE, then yes the standard handoff from AT&T will be L2 and will up to the customer on what to do with it. If it's some other form of circuit, then they could be doing some form of GRE or VPN...

Exchange 2010 to 2013 migration links?

Thanks Dave, seems like I did run across reading that at some point, but forgot about that detail.

    Random and bizarre connectivity issues

Is the AT&T circuit a MetroE circuit? Are you doing layer 2 or layer 3 routing over this circuit or is AT&T doing anything for you on this circuit themselves?

Exchange 2010 to 2013 migration links?

Anyone got any good Exchange 2010 to 2013 migration links they would like to share? Starting my research and would like to see what others have found.
