Lotus 1-2-3 V5 Color Pallette Drop Down Box Not Working

Andrew, Yep, you cannot run Lotus 1-2-3 version 5 in 64-bit windows. I tried, and another Lotus 5 fan acquaintance also tried. I had purchased a cheap, underpowered netbook, which came with Win 7 64-bit installed. It would not allow Lotus 5 to work. So I grabbed a Win 7 disk, which had both...

Lotus 1-2-3 V5 Color Pallette Drop Down Box Not Working

Thanks for the reminder of how it works in XP. I had to switch to Windows 7, and found that while Lotus 1-2-3 version 5 works in Windows 7 (32 bit), I was getting the same issue with the drop down selection for lines and color. The palette wouldn't show up. The solution was buried in...

Choosing font or fill colour in Lotus 123V5 in Windows 7

It is interesting to be using 20 year old software. Whenever I move to new hardware, I have to re-load 1-2-3 version 5 (from CD or flash drive now), and do the Y2K patch, and the long-year display tweak. I have 2 versions of Excel available, and also version 9 of Lotus. But 1-2-3 version 5...

Choosing font or fill colour in Lotus 123V5 in Windows 7

Reply to FrenchPeter re: color palette: I had the same problem, and just found the solution (again). I am using Lotus 1-2-3 version 5 (and love it) and just switched from Windows XP to Windows 7, 32 Bit. (BTW, I found that it MUST be 32 bit, not 64, for version 5.) An earlier posting said to...

    lotus 123

I just tried 2 different versions of Lotus 1-2-3 and I don't see anywhere that Lotus allows us to change fonts for tabs. Arial is what you get, period. At least in the versions I've tried.

Lotus 123 r5.0 smarticons in XP

I am running Lotus version 5 on Windows XP Home. The smart icons seem to be working fine. I can modify the smart icons by adding or deleting icons, just as always. I do not have the file you mention, L1WSB02.dll I'm guessing that the problem is not the missing .dll file, but something else...

Lotus 5 and Windows XP = all CAPS file names

I've been using Lotus 5 in Windows 3.1, 95 and 98. And I like to be able to use lower case for file names. But for some reason, Windows XP insists on saving Lotus 5 spreadsheet files with ALL CAPS file names. This may be common for all 16-bit programs. It seems to me there should be no reason...

Returning the name of a worksheet in 123

Thought I'd add just a bit to the answer. Type in @cell and then hit the F1 function key for help. That gives all the info you can obtain about a cell. Including filename, sheetname, sheet, filedate. Lots of info.

123R5 slow to open in XP Pro

I'm another long-time Lotus 5 user. I have so much invested in Lotus 5 spreadsheets now that I can never leave. I am transitioning (maybe) from Windows 98 to Windows XP Home. Lotus 5 works fine, except for the known problem of not being able to write a text file. :( I guess I'll have to...
