    Data Recovery

Hi guys. Well, I tried changing the first 10 bytes to fix the jpeg definition of the file and I also tried irfanview and it seems as though I can't recover the files. They still come up as invalid, which is most unfortunate. But I thank you all for your suggestions. If anyone else has any...

    Data Recovery

BadBigBen: Ok, thanks for the tip, I'll give that a whirl this week and then let you know how it goes. Appreciate the tip though, hopefully this works because I am starting to feel these unreplaceable pictures are going to become a loss which would really be the pits. Thanks again and will...

    Data Recovery

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in getting back to you all on this, but I've been swamped at work. Anyway, I got around to trying these and trying the forementioned tools, the files still come out unviewable so at this point, I am not really sure what options I have. If anyone has any other...

    AMD Sockets

You mean the M2? Funny thing is, you say M2 and I think Cyrix :) Remember the M1, M2 and M3 Cyrix processors? Those were GREAT CPU's for the money back in the day (if you weren't doing heavy gaming). Well, I seemed to recall one of you calling it the new "socket A" or something for it being...

    AMD Sockets

Ok, my last reply was late, lol. I was trying to reply while dealing with my walk-ups. :) Thanks paparazi, that's what I was looking for and now that I know what it is I am googling for, I will read up some more! Cheers!

    AMD Sockets

Check me if I am wrong, but the socket 940 was replaced by the 939. The original Athlon64 sockets were 754 and 940. Then AMD shifted to the 939 socket. But I seem to recall one of the guys I mentioned talking about AMD coming to a new socket that would be their new "socket A" solution in the...

    AMD Sockets

Hi guys. I am directing this question to cdogg, paparazi and ceh4702. One of you had discussed sometime in the recent past about AMD changing sockets again from 939 to something new. I am not sure which one of you it was, but I am pretty certain it was one of you. Anyway, can any of you...

    Corsair quality?

Well, cdogg pointed out a few brands that are good too. Just remember what I said in my previous post and that is: "You get what you pay for". If you buy crap, it'll perform like crap. If you can't afford to buy quality components, then you better be able to afford the headaches that will...

    Data Recovery

Well, I have tried to open the recovered files in Paint Shop Pro, Paint or even using the Windows Picture and Fax viewer and none of them recognize the files as 'valid' .jpg files. All indications are that the files are in 'excellent' condition on the floppy, but I just can't seem to find a...

PCI Cards Interfere with each other.

Check your motherboard manual, some PCI slots WILL share IRQ's and you want to make sure that those slots don't share IRQ's with each other OR share an IRQ with your AGP slot (or onboard video if applicable). 99% of the time these IRQ shares can cause the issues. Check it out and good luck!

    RAM information - where?

Also, I would recommend buying memory online at places like zipzoomfly.com or newegg.com instead of being shafted by the local stores for the storefront costs. I personally prefer zipzoomfly because everything goes with 2ND Day Air delivery and you don't pay storefront premiums. Just figured...

    Corsair quality?

Are you sure the problem isn't with your mainboard? I mean it is something to consider. DIMM sockets can go bad, just like any other part of a computer. I am only saying this because it seems like even if you sent that chip back to Corsair and they tested it with no errors and sent it back to...

    Data Recovery

Hello everyone. I couldn't really find a good forum for this question, so I thought I'd try it here in a general forum. I have a floppy disk that has about a dozen screenshots of a procedure I did years ago, something I can't remember how to do and by the luck of the Irish I found the floppy...

    Wireless Calendar Sync

Just click the wheel on Calendar, then click the wheel inside calendar and scroll down the pop-up menu to OPTIONS. Click the wheel on OPTIONS and go to WIRELESS SYNCHRONIZATION and change the option from NO to YES. Once you've done that, your Calendar icon on the BB main screen will show a...

    Desktop Manager v4.0

Hello everyone. I have a client using a Verizon 7250 BlackBerry with Desktop Manager software v4.0 and Office 2003. When I go into the Intellisync option and click "Configure PIM" the MS Outlook translator isn't listed as an option. Does anyone know how to get this back or fix this issue...

    Athlon XP 2700 vs. 2800

I have an Athlon XP 2700+ Thoroughbred CPU and I love it, it performs well for me and it really depends on if what you are doing utilizes the cache a lot or not. The 2700+ is 2.167GHz (Thoroughbred) The 2800+ is 2.086GHz (Barton) Not sure what the 2800+ can do overclock wise, but I know I have...

    Socket 754 or 939 ?

paparazi: The KT880 is a Socket A chipset, the KT800 is the Athlon 64 chipset, just FYI. :) Not that big of a deal, but wanted to keep the information straight. Cheers!
