It probably IS a cell phone and he's just using the Xfinity WiFi Home Hotspot capability.
Not relevant ... but how do you know?
Xfinity customers are allowed to. If you want to stop it, turn off the Xfinity WiFi Home Hotspot. See this Xfinity doc:

That's the current version of Windows 11 and won't go end-of-service until Nov 11, 2025.

Hmmm... this just happened with the last couple of email notifications when I clicked on the View this thread button:
Email tracking is SO not cool, IMO...
Is anyone else seeing this issue?
I agree... previously I could see at a glance whether any of the forums I follow had new posts. Now it's more complicated, slower and I have to scroll. :(
Also, I can't quite see the point of having a 'Similar threads' panel as a footer if the results it shows are from 14 years ago or more.
This is my own test
Hmmm.... I can't see an edit icon to format as 'code'...
EDIT: Aaah...I found the 'code' format icon... but the 'Language' dropdown doesn't include PowerShell, VB or VBS (or AutoHotkey) which is strange, given that there are forums on here for them.

A very late reply I know but I've started using Windows' own 'toast notifications' system using PowerShell and the BurntToast module.
This gives the flexibility of text, images and sound together with persistence, as the notifications may disappear from on screen but can continue to be viewed...
First post indentifies it as an HP Pavilion DV9500. IIRC this model was first introduced in 2007 with Vista.
The HP Pavilion dv9500 Maintenance and Service Guide shows, under Setup Utility > Boot Options (page 109):
It should be fine to boot from eithe USB HDD or USB stick.
I agree with @teknance and @tyredon. My portable, bootable ITB USB WD 'My Passport' drive that boots into the Ventoy front-end has 33 ISO files on it that Ventoy allows me to boot into, including the Macrium Reflect Free rescue ISO (plus my MR image backups). I would never go back to CD/DVD use now.
My apologies for resurrecting a zombie thread but I only just noticed it.
I have the same issue with a couple of HDDs in external USB caddies.
Once the HDDs power themselves down it needs a power-off/power-on cycle for them to signal themselves as available again. This enforced sleep interval...
Open Chrome then, in the navigation bar, copy/paste and enter this: chrome://password-manager/settings
You will then see the Offer to save passwords toggle switch.
Hope this helps...
IMO the best way is to use diskpart /clean from an elevated console to unallocate.
See this Microsoft doc for more info about Diskpart.
Hope this helps...
Consider qpdf or PDFtk.
IMO the syntax for qpdf is easier: qpdf in.pdf out.pdf --rotate=+90:6,12,18,24
This would rotate pages 6, 12, 18 and 24 90-degrees clockwise.
See qpdf's documentation on the web and as pdf.
I know it's not Visual Basic... but IMO sometimes it's better to use dedicated...
I was late spotting this but here's the AHK oneliner I use:
:*:@@::DonaldDuck_at_Disney.fun
The :*:@@:: bit just means... whenever I type two consecutive @ characters then AutoHotkey overwrites them with my full email address.
Hope this helps someone...
