Bind Error 10048
That would be good except there is not a folder or file, hidden or otherwise, on the drive with that name. In safe mode I can get rid of the entries in the registry and re-boot back to safe mode and the entries are still absent but on a normal boot, they get put back in. That action is what I...- OldLefty

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out. I have a machine that's suffering from a couple of programs that I can not remove using "add/remove" programs in win xp. They are called IRC and mIRC, even in 'safe mode'. It is my belief that they may have something to do with two services trying to use...- OldLefty

Bind Error 10048
Need help with the following error in WIN XP. On boot-up after reaching the desktop an error message box reads: "error 10048 in function bind. Address already in use." This error is reported, I believe, by the program mosso.exe. Does anyone have knowledge on this? Thanks,- OldLefty
