I'm trying to print on custom-sized paper, and the design keeps getting cut off at the edge. I've played with the bleed details, but maybe I'm not doing it right. How can I get an image to go all the way to the edge or at least near the edge on custom-sized paper? I'm using InDesign CS2 on...
The font missing is Switzerland Roman, and it is missing from the machine. It was originally also missing Switzerland Bold, and I was able to do a Change All for that with no problem, replacing it with Arial Bold. I tried fixing the problem in Preflight, attempting to change Switzerland Roman to...
Every time I open a particular file (that was converted from Pagemaker 7.0) I get a missing font message. But when I try to do a Change All, it won't let me. It simply stays on the list as a missing font, even when I select a replacement. Any ideas?
I'm working with InDesign CS2 on a PC.
The error only occurred when I was in a particular style. It was based on [No Paragraph Style] and the NEXT STYLE was based on the same thing. When I changed it to [Same Style] as someone suggested, the error was fixed.
Thank you so much!!
The ENTER is the return key. The font I'm using is Times New Roman, and I don't have any control over the choice of font, since I'm following a company-set format. I've never had this problem at my home computer, so I still don't know why starting a new paragraph would cause the font to change.
Another problem with text:
I create a new text box and begin typing. Everything's fine--I'm in my default Times New Roman font. When I press ENTER to start a new paragraph, the text reverts to Times, which is NOT my default font. In fact, I never use it. So why does InDesign revert to Times...
I am copying/pasting from within InDesign, which is why this issue is so odd (and annoying). I've tried all the above suggestions, and none of them work. Any other ideas of what might be the problem?
Whenever I copy and paste text--either using the text tool or using the black arrow--the text loses its formatting and I end up with default Times, which oddly my computer does not have. It's really annoying. Someone mentioned that I should download the newest update from Adobe, which I did, but...
This is not on my computer, but on a colleague's computer, when she tries to copy and paste a text box with formatted text in it, the text defaults to Times (which she doesn't have, so it becomes the dreaded pink highlight). When I paste a text box (using the black arrow), all the formatting is...
The style has been applied to everything--and yet it still converts to [No paragraph style] one I hit a hard return. Also, I don't know why the No paragraph style goes to Times, since my default font is Times New Roman.
i have a text box that i've formatted with a specific paragraph style. but every time i press enter, it turns back to times 12pt., which isn't even my default type. why does this keep happening, and how can i make it so that the paragraph style stays the same even after i make a new paragraph?
