KCFLHRC, thanks for the info. After you brought that up, we looked through some Avaya books. On the web, it can be found here: http://downloads.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100119577 in chapter 5 (it's in Chapter 4 in the 2010 release). We have programmed the phone & tested it. I appreciate the help.
Again, thanks to everyone for the replies. I have found out that this is not an option with the Meridian CS1000 PBX. The option is available with an IP Office type PBX. We are currently exploring using Avaya IP Office & will implement it probably within a year.
