Ok just checking. I know that a number of people said that the upgrade to 5.0 should be free. I just wanted to check on this change to Avaya's licensing program.

Thanks guys. I have spoken to the PABX service provider. He has come back with this response: Avaya can’t provide an ADI endpoint upgrade licence for R5 anymore and PLDS licences are only available from R6 onwards. Apparently something changed 6 month ago? Is this correct?

The client only use the basic functionality of the system. Is there a significant advantage to going to 9.0? All they want is to plug in a IP 7000 Polycomm into the system they most likely won't use other functionality (I've tried with them)
Thanks for your point of view daIPOTek. We have already replaced the power supply of the unit and I know that they are prone to failure. $500 seems more reasonable. I think R6 has the SIP extension functionality that we need right? Does that mean there would be no license cost to go to R6?
