Unable to promote win2k server to member server.
Ok lets recap, there is already a Win2k DC on the network. I would like to upgrade my member server to (additional DC) this is one of two options in DCPROMO the other being domain controller of a new domain which I do not want. It is at this point that it fails (see original post). So no active...- mechanos

w2k and novell client 4.8
On a related theme has anyone noticed the print spooler in Win2k (spoolersv) leaks memory after the netware 4.8 client has been installed? This happens regardless of the service pack applied and on both server and professional. Curious?- mechanos

Unable to promote win2k server to member server.
I'm trying to promote a win2k server to additional server status within a win2k domain. There is only one domain controller and five clients attached to an ADSL firewall/hub. The hub provides dhcp for the clients and the servers obviously have fixed IP's. DNS is enabled on the domain controller...- mechanos
