Hi, I have the following problem. I need to import an ascii file containing 1000 records and 1500(!) columnns into sql server. 1500 clearly exceeds SQLS's limit. Therefore it was my idea to split the file into 2 files of about 750 columns. My unique identifier (how I can recognize a record)...- Keesinho

1500 Columns in a text file, how to split?
Hello, my problem is the following. I have an ascii file containing 1000 records, all have 1500 (!) columns. Access can't handle this, so I'm looking for some way to split my file into 3 files containing 500 columns. Is there anyone out there who can provide me with a tool to do just this...- Keesinho
