Sounds funny enough but our server sees its IP address, but not its name. The only way I can get anyone here on our shared drive is to connect to the ip address of the server. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I need it to be able to see its name so exchange wil work for our email.
OK I just installed sp2 on my server and now it won't even boot past the server 2003 loading screen...it keep restarting. I did the full backup before the upgrade so thats the only good news.....HELP!
ok guys new problem that has to many things it could be so I'm passing it to you all. There is one computer in our office that will perodically lose our shared drive on the server. It will come back up once the restart is applied. Any ideas on this one. Windows XP pro is what the machine is...
I have the trial software of it installed and I'm wanting to defrag my drives tonight. Is there anything i should due since I have exchange on this server as well? I don't want to screw up our system. We have one drive for OS and Exchange and one just for data. Let me know!
OK guys everyone here keep getting kicked out of Outlook and their shared drive after 5pm. Now if they restart they can work just like normal. What could be causing this issue. Everyone is windows xp Pro.
Thanks in advance
When circular logging is disabled, transaction log files accumulate on the disk until a full or incremental backup is performed. "After this, the log files that have all transactions committed to the database are deleted."
This doesn't sound right?
What would be better for me. I work for a...
Cirucular loggin enabled...so you can restore all emails up until the last complete backup? That sounds like a better idea.
With it disabled I just can go back to a certain day though.
