Our autoloader has a door to the cartridge slot, that it opens when we eject the media directly from the autoloader console/menu. Otherwise, it looks like we're out of options, other than manually doing the import/export on the unit. Would you advise having the policy set up for Backup exec to...
I created an export policy, and it says to remove the tape from the drive, however, the Autoloader does not present the tape, and does not sound like it receives the command at all.
I appreciate the info. I've been searching online, and have been speaking with our vendor, but up until now, have not had any answers.
I've never set up an export policy before. Would you mind walking me through the basic idea?
Hi All -
We have recently installed a HP Storageworks 1/8 Tape Autoloader, and are using Backup Exec 10d. I have opted to have Backup Exec eject media when the job completes, but it fails to do so.
We only use 1 tape per backup, so multiple tapes are not a concern at this point in time.

Ok, the resulting string from the formulas I spoke of is 11/01/2006, however, when I substituted my formula that produces that result, with your suggestion, the dates that were returned were all 01/01/1970. Likewise, I tried it with my original data CCYYMM... and got the same result.
I'd...
Thanks!
I tried it, but it returned ALL results as 1/1/1970... I'm going to scrap my current report and start new, so I am sure that my previous attempts aren't messing the results up.
I'll write back in a bit, and let you know how it went. I appreciate your help!

Hello -
I have a date field CCYYMM that is read as a string within Crystal 10. My goal is to be able to use the date range of LastFullMonth to filter data. I have tried various formulas - trimming the data, reversing, and adding info, so that I currently have a string formula that presents...
I actually just figured it out - I created a formula that looked at whether the "savings1" record was true or false, and then went into the loan1 record, and loan balance record, and suppressed based on a false condition... it worked great. I'm really surprised that I got it to work by playing...
I have a report that is supposed to report the occurance of multiple balances on one record - for instance:
Mr. Smith has a bank account with a main account number, which is being used to pull the record. Next, from within that record, Mr. Smith has 2 savings accounts and 3 loan accounts, each...
I am already using a grouping for address, so I can suppress those who have multiple account numbers, and only send them 1 mailing.
If I change the grouping to account number, I lose that functionality, however, when I do this, I still get entries that should have been eliminated...
I'm using Crystal version 10, with an SQL database, and ODBC connection... I think that was what you're after. I'm kindof a rookie at crystal, so please bare with me..
Thanks!

I have a crystal report in progress, that can give me the following information:
Acct# Name Address Card
1111 Joe 1111 Main ATM
1111 Joe 1111 Main GLD
2222 Mary 2222 Elm
3333 Bill 3333...

Thank you for all of your help! I was able to get the suppression to work properly, and it was exactly what I needed.
To those of you who also had excellent suggestions: synapsevampire, beanbrain, Madawc, kutoose, and Moonknightt -- I really appreciate your time and suggestions...
Ok,
I was able to get the formula to concatenate, but am having trouble with the suppression...
I was able to enter the suppression string in the formula editor under "Suppress if Duplicated", and asked that it display a string called "Delete", however it flags every entry for suppression...
If I go into the new formula area, and enter:
{@concat}:{table.address}+{table.city}+{table.state}+{table.zip}, substituting my table values, and try to save and close, I get the error message of:
"There is an error in this formula, do you want to save it anyway?" - and gives you buttons for...
Hello again -
Thank you for all of the wonderful suggestions...
On the first one - with regards to sorting as a primary member, all of my records would be considered "primary", as each of them have their own record/account number, and aside from them having identical addresses, these records...
HI there -
I am really new to Crystal 10 - basically fighting my way through things.... I'm currently trying to eliminate records that have duplicated addresses....
My current selection is by account number, for instance, if Mr. Smith has an account number 1234, and an address of 333 S...
