I did disable the video (basically setting the drivers to VGA) in device manager. The card I was trying is a cheaper 4MB SIS card. This model of HP doesn't have a video card, the video is the on-board video of the motherboard. You cannot disable it in the BIOS however. I saw that someone...
I've also had this problem. I've tried to add a video card but the machine won't even boot the bios! HP has said that the video card is probably incompatible. Do you have the steps to disable the onboard video? You can't disable in the bios? Thank you.
