    Thanks for the reply jamkey, But unfortunately it didn't work. I even deleted the files again and rebooted the server just in case. I get this error every minute in the event viewer!! I am tempted to throw the server out of the window now.

    Does Remote Agent speed up backups

    Could somebody please explain to me why you need the remote agent and does it actually speed up backing up a remote server, Or even do you really need it. Also do you get a licence with it when you buy backup exec or is totally seperate? Any answers greatfully appreciated. Mitchell427
