    FTP run by cron can't move large files

    I had a similar problem when using rdist. I just had to change the default value so that it did not time out. Your problem may be the same. Have you thought about using rdist?

    Setting Sco Unix Logins to Automatically Logoff

    I use the idleout command. Type idleout 3:0 as root and this will logout ALL users that have not been active for the past 3 hours. Quite effective. It does tie up a terminal though. Rebecca
