Ok, so, to answer my own question... BLK is not even related to AIX except for that it is a setting in the terminal itself. I changed it to FDX and away I went. The setting was in my WYSE 50 terminal. Sorry for being so ignorant. It is just that I never learned anything about this ancient... -
