Browsers cannot interact with hardware unless you use some type of ActiveX control possibly. I don't know much about those and where you could find one, but you might do some research on those. Sorry!
That is a function of the browser which is controlled by Windows, not a script on a page. There is no script you can put in your HTML code to do it. The reason it opens when you click a media file is because IE6 is programmed to do so. Sorry!
