I never did resolve this problem. I ended up using a service that could print the document from the Publisher file. More costly. I'd like to figure this out for the future.

I gave it a try, Eggles, but no luck. I really appreciate the time and effort you've spent to help me solve this. I did post it on the Adobe Acrobat forum as well.

Thanks writer1. It was a good suggestion but no luck. I created files using two different generic postscript print drivers and distilled them with the same results.
I tried changing one of the problem graphics to a JPEG with no improvement.
Is it possible a different print driver might help...

I did change all the graphics to TIFF. I tested it by changing one graphic first and it worked. I thought that would do it but when now about 70% of the graphics have the lines and the other 30% do not. I can't see any difference...
