Avaya, connect probs with SMDR and VM RS-232 ports
Okay... I actually got this to work. 1) I used the SMDR pin-out, not the WinSPM. 2) I removed the USB to RS-232 drivers and let Windows "re-detect" the hardware. I also removed all other virtual COM ports (I had many). 3) I tweaked the properties on my virtual USB to RS-232 adapter so that...- utahnix

Hi, We recently upgraded our old Partner II to a Partner 8 (with Messaging 7.0) through an Avaya Gold partner. The system itself seems to work fine; however, I want to be able to manage the system via the SMDR and Voice Mail (Messaging R7) RS-232 ports, for various reasons. I do understand...- utahnix
