Live backup of a "static" database
I can not seem to find a straight forward answer to this question. I am wondering if I can simply tar a MySQL database that I have loaded onto a web server for a backup. The content is static. I don't want to corrupt either the backup or original. I wouldn't be asking if I had a choice... Thanks- GalaxiePete
