Why dont you try doing a sniff trace locally? Why would you want to quarentine your machine? Just unplug it from the network and get a mini-hub and run a sniff trace. -
Client will not release old ip address
What is your ARP refresh rate on your switches? You may want to lower it to about every 3 minutes. Have you tried checking your IP Properties to make sure there is not a static IP entered? Have you tried releasing before you move ot a different VLAN and then renewing when you plug in again?
