    Thanks for your tip -- I played with stuff and for some reason, it let me save for the web/as a .gif. Now I need to learn how to get rid of the extra anchor points. I sure picked a challenge.

    I have a eps file of a house plan I need to put on the web. I successfully opened it in Illustrator 9 and saved it as an ai file. But it won't let me save for web! HELP PLEEEZE!
