i think you maybe right. Bios, see's the new hard drive, but it will not but. I restore of the drive may be the answer. Thanks.- paggs

hp kayak new harddirve.
i have installed a new ide harddirve in a kayak u800. the old drive failed was scsi. The problem is i can't get the new harddrive to boot. The system keep restarting. Is there a way to configure the system that it see the ide drive and not the scsi. Is this a bios issue? The new drive has an...- paggs
