    Monitor software won't connect

Thanks everyone. Over spring break I reset the security settings, ticked the Devlink setting, and switched to TCP on monitor and I was able to connect with the password I set up in Manager->File->Advanced->Security Settings->System->Unsecured Interfaces.

    Monitor software won't connect

Thanks for the help. My passwords are greater than 9 characters, so I don't think that was the issue this time. With the trouble we had setting the passwords initially, I was hesitant to nuke them and start over in case we somehow got stuck with the default ones. Maybe I'll give that a try when...

    Monitor software won't connect

We just installed 11.1 on a brand new control unit and I can't get Monitor to connect. I've tried UDP/TCP with the default password and no password, using HTTP with both the system and Administrator accounts, but it always says "trying to connect to <ip address>". I went to...

    Restoring SD card for dummies

Thanks everyone. I was able to install the new SD card with new licenses, upgrade to v11, and push the same config. There are a few things that seem like they need some finessing but for the most part everything is working again! Thanks for the tip, critchey. Our 5410 phones have always had...

    Restoring SD card for dummies

Thanks for the help. Turns out our BP is no longer in business, which explains their lack of response. I was able to find another local partner and by upgrading to v11 and replacing our 5410 handsets we should be able to get back online.

    Restoring SD card for dummies

Thanks Westi - To be clear, is there a chance I can use the same config I have (either by putting new software on this IP500 or replacing it with an updated Avaya system), or am I looking at a completely new system altogether? Just wondering how I should be feeling about the week(s) ahead of me....

    Restoring SD card for dummies

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, I tried three different computers and the SD card was not recognized by any of them, so it must be kaput. In 2017 I asked our BP about backing up the SD card (anticipating this day), and he said "you really can't back up the SD card" and that "Avaya is...

    Restoring SD card for dummies

Hello Tek-tips! This forum has helped me keep our IP500 running for the last 10 years, but now I'm asking for some hand-holding to get the SD card working again. I've come to learn that the SD card should be treated with reverence, as it's somehow been blessed by Avaya with some magic so that...
