What do you think of the PC Chips 810LMR Mobo

Times are difficult for technical companies. Besides having ISO 9002 certification, they will also have to obtain certificates from Dakota 2001 and Citrix. I've been buying motherboards from all the makers in the market. Talking of reliability, ASUS, in my small "sample space", breaks...

    Flashing bios

I already have the contents of the BIOS I want to flash. The problem is that I need a similar motherboard to boot from, and then transfer my BIOS chip to that motherboard to flash it. My question, basically, is: how can I flash a BIOS in a motherboard that is not the one of that BIOS? I don't...

    Flashing bios

I had problems flashing the BIOS of a motherboard PCCHIPS 585LMR. For the first time (there's always a first time), it didn't work. I don't have a second 585LMR to get a bootable ROM and my question is: how can I flash a bios in another motherboard? I have PCCHIPS 598LMR and a few boards by ASUS...

cd-rom has life of its own. closes and opens by itself

Creative Labs has fantastic products, but Creative Infra ??X is a lousy CD-ROM unit. I've been buying products from Creative Labs for more than 10 years. Those Infra CD's are exactly the ones I had problems with. 90% of them. I have six or seven Infra CD here with the same problem. And it is not...
