Oracle 8i -Install on NT 4.0 Workstation stand-alone
The problem may be network adapters. NT prefers to have a network card installed even when not connected to a network. We tried to install Oracle 8i EE on NT4 SP6 with different configurations of NT. Eventually we managed successfully to install everything even on an NT standalone server...- newdba2
