There is a utility in the 2000 resource kit called ntrights.exe.
Using the following in a script, I was able to deny 'users' the ability to log on to the box:
ntrights -u users -r SeInteractiveLogonRight

looks like XP is writing simular info to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2
I tried several revisions of the 2000 fix, no luck either.
Note I found a Q article for 2000 detailing this fix...

Does matter how I map, normally, though I right-click My Computer, and say map drive. If I use Windows Explorer \tools\map network drive, I get the same result.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it extremely annoying that W2k and XP automatically pops up a new explore window when you map a new network drive?
