Thanks for the Info Drew, I've found out that sometimes it gives a false battery low in my eventlog. I found out that my Firmware wasn't up to par and have to download a lot of new drivers and firmware to make the problem go away.
Thanks for the info. I think it was the logon that we were doing wrong because it only happens when we remote desktop into the computer and not when we physically click on the shutdown command from the console.
I've recently got a warning in my event viewer about the battery being low on my controller. But when i right click on the controller, the battery says okay and the recondition button is grayed out. Do i have to wait for the battery go quit before i can recondition or is there so other way that...
We recently updated our servers from the microsoft updates. Now when we reboot the computer, we are getting random time when we can't login. The login and password box are grayed out and unable to click inside the box to type our user name and password. the only thing we are able to do is...
We are getting emails with a scanned subject of defwatch. Is there anyway that we can stop these scans so that we don't get email from them?
Second question. Since we have upgraded our Symantec to 10.0, we have been getting mixed scans from some of our clients. I watched the scans and it show...
Are you inheriting all the folders in the child to owner also or are you leaving them to the administrator?
If you just give the User owner permission to the folder, he/she will still not have permission to see the child folders.
Nortons Enterprise 10 system service console is not reporting all the files that it scans. The file count stops at a certain point, but i can see it still scanning files. Is this a bug with 10.0.1.1000?
Thanks in advance
yea, that is the problem, my domain controller is set to EST and the company we took over is on CST time so there lies the problem. I might try the net time with the name of the computer they are sitting at and see what happens. Don't know if it will bog down the computer if i do so with a...
If that is the case, any place that i could find a script? Easier than myself racking my brain to get it right.
But still up for any other suggestions. From what i've research, it should take the computers clock source over the GPO
My company recently purchased a company across the time zone, IE Eastern time to Central time. We are running Windows 2003 Servers.
My question is that most computers will be running Remote desktop connections. I have went into the group policy and changed the policy in Computer/windows...
I have had the same problem and it was probably related to the time that you had set for the Backup to run. I had mine set to 12:30am with a 5min delay. With that, it was out of the time frame when the GMT changed the windows time.
Does Internet Explorer create a file when people accept the autocomplete of their usernames/passwords?
I'm trying to transfer these over to a new computer and some of the passwords my employee can't remember.
Thanks in advance.
We just upgraded to symantec 10.0 and now when the server is either rebooted or if it resyncs with the other servers, the AMS settings are lost. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
