I should know by now that more detail is better than the minimum. I was hoping that a generic situation would give the guidance necessary. I can't seem to make this work. This is already a subreport (for college entrance tests) linked on a different group (student name, group 3 of main report)...
Group header two and details are showing. The details do need to stay below the header, but if the group changes I would like it to move right instead of below the first grouping.

The subreport is in the group header for the school, which comes after year and student.
Not sure I understand the second question. The sub report is linked to all three (student, school and year).

Results do not need to be specific to school since the data is only recorded for attendance at our school.
The sum returns 66 because there are 66 lines in the details. However, the database has only one record not 66.

A student can have more than one school within an academic year if he transferred in mid-year or took a summer course at another school.
