Our HR Manager would like a report listing reasons for 'Unpaid Absenteeism' in a financial year, once an employee has totalled 5 such days.
Layout is as follows...
Grp1 = Department
Grp2 = Section
Grp3 = Employee Name, (showing Job Title, etc)
Dtls= Absenteeism Description, Date, Hours
The data...
I'm obviously not a Crystal expert, so here's my CR8.5 query...
I've created a SQL view from our employee d'base which lists the Emp No, Name, and six separate 'Significant Date' fields.
(eg, 'End Probation Date', 'End Temp Status Date', etc).
I created '?Date Start' and '?Date End' Parameter...
We have a report that extracts stats from our Document M'ment system. An incoming document is assigned to a Workflow... within the workflow, there are various stages, called "Tasks". (eg, If a document if not actioned within 7 days, it moves from a "Due for Action" to an "Overdue" Task).
My...
Thank You (x3) LB !!!
You've made all the detailed explanation of my problem worthwhile.
(This has been my "You learn something new every day" for today).
I am trying to display the "Hours Worked" for Fleet items which are grouped by 'Vehicle Category' [Grp1] then by 'Fleet Item', [Grp2],(to get summary totals of fuel Qty & $ transactions). (n.b. Details section is suppressed).
I have also placed the 'HrsMeter' field onto GH2, (ie, along...
Probably a simple answer, but help ! (This is as brief as I could be, sorry)...
I need to produce a report showing our fortnightly salary info grouped by month, (ie, Grp2), for each employee, (ie, Grp 1). Simple enough.
Further though, I also have to EXCLUDE any 'Months', (Grp2), if the sum of...
Thanks for all your input... one feels it's time for some data cleansing, or convincing 'Finance' to uppercase the entire field, (as per Jim Broadbent's very first suggestion).
I'll pass on the sentiments to our software vendor's developer as suggested... or maybe not ;-)
Cheers
Me again... sorry to be a pain, but I've struck another scenario with my data.
There are instances where there is only one line in the address field, and therefore no Chr(13)'s. (Don't ask me why this is so... I'm not in the Finance Dep't)
The latest incarnation of the formula now handles...
I thought I'd brought closure to my query, but not so just yet.
Naith's "WhilePrintingRecords..." formula works fine when my test range of records has data in the address field.
However, (and don't ask me why), there are instances where the address field is blank/null.
When I run the...
Thanks to all who responded - "Naith" has given me my solution with his "WhilePrintingRecords..." formula !
Sorry if my initial query was ambiguous, but for those who are interested, the address is in one field as per my original example, ie...
8 Hart St <CR>
Newtown...
Thanks, but wouldn't this make the whole field uppercase ?
If this is the only solution, I'll have to advise my management of same... but their spec was for only the last line to be "upped", eg "NEWTOWN", and the "8 Hart Street" to remain Proper Case.
(Note that...
Our Creditors system allows for free-format entry of data into our "Address" field... eg,
8 Hart St
Newtown
What I am trying to do is to create a formula to display the last line of each Address as Uppercase, (as our data has a mixture of Uppercase and Propercase).
ie, in short...
I have to produce a report based on a range of data from a formula field, [which is in a format - "If NumericText {field} then ToNumber({field}) Else 0;"]... no problem.
To do so, I have created parameter fields to select the start/end range based on this numeric formula field... no...
