OK, I tried some sutff like partitioning into 2x 100gig, did that, had to reboot for the windows install (you know the drill) and when rebooted, didnt go into the next stage, was back at square one, now when i try and install windows on the sata, it freezes on the checking disk stage right after...

OS is windows XP pro
Both are present in the BIOS as 1st master and 4th master
Status of drives is that both are formatted, the 40gb IDE hdd has the XP installed on it, the 200GB sata is empty.
The SATA was going to be the OS HDD but windows installer crashes...
Setup is....
Asus K8N Mobo
40GB IDE HDD
200GB SATA HDD (both maxtor)
Tried installing these like I would with two IDE drives, hasnt worked at all (either installs ok and then crashes on windows boot screen, the one with the windows logo and the loading bar, or crashes in windows setup menu on...
