    I've just discovered the pathfinder tool... which is really useful. I used it for my last project, so for this I tried all of the 'effects' and they don't seem to do anything (I have the 'V' and the 'swirls' selected). I'm using CS2, if you know how I could achieve this. Thanks

    Using this example: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/DETOXandDEFY/how.jpg How would I cut out the parts I highlighted? I'm a new user to Illustrator after ignoring it for years and solely relying on Photoshop, and the program seems to be a lot harder to edit your objects on here.
