    How to get download files w/o Netscape

    ianf is right. Lynx will allow you to download files. At the command line type lynx www.thesiteyouwanttoconnect.com. You'll be able to use the arrow keys to move among the page...highlight the file and press enter to download. It isn't a graphical brower but it'll work. Hope this helps you.
