Hi all. When using a DSL homerun network you can access the email accounts on one machine. The second machine will ping the servers and has internet access, but fails to authinticate with the email client. Any guesses?
Also, you said that you disabled your Zone alarm. Sometimes, you need to lower the settings before you disable the firewall. The program can retain the settings, be disabled, and still limit access to the internet.
I have seen this on a few PC's. If you are running norton Anti-virus, disable the Email scanning. That will at times freeup the connection so you can get the emails to sail through. It is a proglem with the router setup that I havent found the cure for yet, but this is a work around. I wouldnt...
